Danny Legendre was a beloved son, brother, classmate, and friend to many. His life was tragically cut short by a fatal snowmobile accident in 2003, when he was only 14. Danny’s spirit lives on, however, and he is remembered as the jokester of Gorham High School’s Class of 2007. He was known for his upbeat, positive attitude both in and out of the classroom. Always quick with a joke, Danny was loved by all. One word that was not in his vocabulary? Quit.

An avid fan of hockey, Danny had dreams of playing college hockey at the University of New Hampshire and continuing onto the NHL. The Danny Legendre Memorial Golf Tournament was inspired by Danny’s love for the film Happy Gilmore, in which the lead character possesses an equal love for both hockey and golf.
